The Signature Alligator Backpack, Jet Black

The Signature is the Frank Harkins alligator backpack, a full alligator bag with American alligator on every panel. The flap, front and pockets are cut from the belly, where the scales are largest and most even, and matched by hand so the pattern reads as one.

Glazed alligator, sometimes called gloss, is the dressiest of the finishes. The scales are burnished under pressure until they carry a deep, glass-like shine, which is what makes black alligator read as black rather than dark. It marks more readily than matte, and light marks buff back with a soft cloth.

The flap closes over two buckled straps and the side pockets take a phone and keys. Other colors and a matte finish are made to order, and suede bags are next in the series.
